Old School Delights @ Upper Thomson

Five Stones. Chaptek. Hopscotch. He-man. Old Maid. Ultraman.

If you recognised or played a majority of these, welcome to the 80s and 90s. I grew up playing these and Old School Delights simply helped bring back memories of how I used to win erasers in the eraser flipping game.

Each table comes with a toy box like the one below.

Pretty cool stuff if you ask me. It’s a pity my partner didn’t want to play any of these with me.

The cafe’s interior uses the traditional chalkboard menu and you actually order by writing down what you want on a mini whiteboard. How Cool Is That.

I originally wanted to order their signature Mee Siam but alas, it was sold out for the day. So I settled for Curry Chicken and Joy went for Fish & Chips.

The fish was well-covered with batter and their serving of truffle fries sides were generous. The curry tasted normal. Nothing exceptional. Frankly speaking, I expected more for it’s price ($9.8).

The cafe’s front also houses a shelf where you can buy some of your old childhood’s toys!

Despite being a bit costly, I did enjoy my meal here with it’s attention to childhood memorabilia. It’s definitely a place worth visiting to hang out and catch up with old friends & ex-school mates!
