Apple Crumble recipe

I desperately wanted to use my ramekins from daiso ($2!) so I decided to bake up a simple apple crumble for teatime!


serves 2

2 Granny Smith Apples
1/4 lemon
1 tbsp caster sugar

1/4 cup plain flour
30g finely chopped walnuts
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 tbsp dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
30g butter

cut apple into 1cm cubes (you can see I did a terrible job here. HA. )

squeeze lemon over apples (this helps the apples from turning brown during baking)

mix all the topping ingredients together except the butter

pour butter over and mix well

scoop topping over apple mixture
set greaseproof paper
bake at 200C for 30 minutes

It’s really simple to prepare and only took me 20 minutes to prepare all the ingredients. I spent that time pre-heating the oven. The walnuts add crunch to the otherwise plain crumble topping so please don’t leave that out when you make this!
